Health November 30 2016

Today we looked at the Quizlet and played Quizlet Live as a class to prepare for the Physical Health Unit Test.

We took the test. Then you turned in your packets.

We start the Human Sexuality Unit on Friday!!!

Today we spoke in spanish the whole period!! We talked a lot about Reflexive Verbs and went over the packets and I gave you stamps for the packets!
Then we watched a video about Niko and you wrote 16 sentences changing his sentences from 1st person to third person. Por ejemplo: Me despierto. El chico se depierta.

Then I gave you the Rodrigo packet. I assigned the first three pages in the packet.
We will be having the next verb quiz 41-50 on Thursday.

Health November 28th

Today we had an advisory day. You picked up your Social Health Unit packet. We spoke about your grades. We will be having the Physical Health Unit Test and you will be turning in your packets on Wednesday and then Friday we will start the Human Sexuality Unit. We also took a sex ed pre-test.

We prepped for the Imperfect Quiz the sub will give you on Tuesday. Know how to conjugate aba and ía verbs. Know the 3 irregulars (IR, SER and VER).

We did bienvenidas and then we corrected the Ser vs. Estar Tests. I gave you three more pages to do in Reflexive Packet (gave you stamps for the first page). You will get stamps from sub on Tuesday and homework will be to finish the packet upon the return from Thanksgiving Break.  We will also have a SER and ESTAR test (158 points) the week we get back. So KNOW SER and ESTAR conjugations and the RULES!!!!

Health November 17

We finished Non-Refundable (look on last blog post for Health) and did the Elements of Fitness.
While I am gone the sub should do the Body Image. We will turn in Packet after the Thanksgiving break and have the Physical Health Unit test on Wednesday November 30th.

Today we took some advisory time and you had a chance to make up the #2 Verb quiz and finish your 501 Assignments.

We listened to an Imperfect song "Los Dias" by the templetons and filled in the blanks. Then we reviewed Imperfect for a quiz on Friday. There will also be quiz #4 on verbs on Friday

Today we took the Ser and Estar quiz.
I gave you a Reflexive Packet and assigned you one page in it for homework.

Friday we will have the #4 Verb Quiz starting with desayunar and ending with entender. You will be conjugating dormir o - ue and entender e tie stem changing.

Health November 15,

Today we talked about Communicable and Non-Communicable diseases. Click on links to see powerpoints if you missed class today.

We will be doing Elements of Fitness on Thursday and Body Image on Monday. This will complete our Physical Health Unit packet. We will review our notes on Monday after the break and take the test on Wed the 30th.  Then we will begin our Human Sexuality Unit on December 2nd.

Today we took verb quiz #3 (comenzar to decir) you conjugated Conocer and Contar)

We will be tested on Imperfect conjugation soon so be prepared.
Today was the last class time to complete 50 verbs on your 501 assignment. They are due on Friday for 150 points. They will be docked if late.

Verb quiz #4 on Friday. (desayunar to entender) be prepared to do an irregular yo and a stem-changing verb)

Today we got stamps for Sentences from the Salud Video (see last blog post) We went over Ser and Estar conjugation and rules (in your Ser and Estar  packet).

We will have a quiz on Ser and Estar on Wednesday.

We also took verb quiz #3 (comenzar to decir) and you conjugated a regular ar and regular er verb)

We will have verb quiz #4 on Friday (desayunar to entender) be prepared to conjugate an irregular yo and a stem change.

November 11 Health

Today we covered the Nutrition Labels and Nutrition guided notes. Here are two powerpoints to use as resources. Nutrition Label and Smart Consumer I also had you bring a food label from home and we filled out an empty food label.

Homework next time is the Childhood Paragraph (yellow) where you fill in appropriate form of imperfect.

We will finish 501's on Monday. They will be due by Friday with 50 GOOD Verbs = 150 points
You may do up to 30 extra verbs for 1 point per three line verb for extra credit.

We did bienvenidas. I explained Imperfect. I handed out homework on Imperfect. You continued to work on your 50 501 Story Verbs. We will do that through Monday. It will be due by next Friday.

We did Bienvenidas. I gave stamps for completing the Ser and Estar packet. We corrected the BIG ROPA Test together. Homework is writing a nice long sentence for each Rule for Ser and for ESTAR.

Health November 7th.

We have finished the Social Health Unit. We took the test on Monday. We are turning in packets on Wednesday and beginning the Physical Health Unit!!! RBA's are WAY over due and Cheaper by the Dozen papers are late as well!!!

 You were assigned to write a paper (one page hand-written) about two relationships from Cheaper by the Dozen. Was it a healthy relationship or unhealthy relationship? What deposits and withdrawals were made?
