We will have a quiz next week on clothing. Look for previous blog about which words you will need to know.

Today we started our Social Health Unit
The biggest assignment this unit is the RBA assignment. You will pick one person to work on your relationship with over the next 3 weeks.

You will track your deposits and withdrawals in a journal: either a little notebook or digitally emailed to me.
You need to make at least one entry per day.
You will be writing a 2 page paper at the end.
It is due October the 19th- the last day of this term.

Then we did a communication activity. We started the communications lesson with packet notes.

Tonight is the volleyball game extra credit.
Next week we will do to early morning movie watchings of "A Beautiful Mind" and one in the afternoon. You will have to write a one page single spaced typed paper to get the 25 points.

I will bring donuts to the morning showings:)

We corrected your tests from last time. Re-takes will go until Thursday, October 6th.
100% with proof of all homework completed. 80% without.

Health with sub

Mr Campbell came in and did a presentation on Suicide Prevention. You turned in your Personal Identity collage and the Mental health packet is due on Tuesday and you will have the test on Mental Health on Tuesday as well.

You took the test, turned in a warm-up and were assigned the first three tareas in the pink ropa packet.

Today we had Wayne Sears from the counseling office give a presentation on Stress.

We will be turning in your Mental Health Packets (Emotions, Feelings List/ Anger as a secondary emotion, Self-esteem, Mental health guided notes, Mazlow's Hierarchy of Needs) all stapled together.

You will also have the Mental Health Unit Test on Tuesday of Next Week!!!

Today we had a warm up on Verb conjugation and discussed some of the differences between Ser and Estar.

I gave stamps for completing the first Green Ser and Estar packet i gave you . I gave you another Ser and Estar packet (pink) and assigned the first page front and back.

You will have a verb conjugation test on Thursday.

We listened to a Jessie and Joy song using irregular Yos and filled in the Clozeline.

Today we did a warm up where you conjugated regular AR,,ER, and IR verbs and practiced stem-changing verbs E-IE , E - I and O - UE,

Also irregular Yos for the upcoming Test on Thursday,

We also listened to "Voy a Vivir" by Marc Anthony and watched an episode from Mi Vida Loca about shopping,

We began our first unit - getting to know you.

I gave the overview and the bubble sheet for this unit.
I also gave the Ser and Estar packet for Spanish 3.
I assigned all pages up to the adjectives. It is very easy but a good review of the conjugations and use of Ser and Estar.

We have started our Unit 1 - Clothing (La Ropa) Unit
I gave you a packet last time entitled "La Ropa" you filled out the vocabulary page for homework stamp today and I have assigned the rest of the packet due Tuesday.

We will be having a test on verb conjugation on Thursday. There will be a sub.

You turned in you calendars.. receiving extra credit for completed calendars and for binders set up the way I asked.

We listened to "Jueves" a song about March 11th, when terrorists attacked the metro in Madrid.

You got your "La Ropa" packet to begin Unit 1. You just had to fill in all the vocabulary words on the front and back of the first page.

We have a short day on Friday because of the Spirit Bowl!!!

We are finishing the Stem Changing Packets. We will try to finish the review stuff this week so that we can begin our first unit "All about me"

Test re-takes are due Thursday.

We will listen to a song on Wednesday and fill in the paper.

You will receive an extra credit stamp for:

1. Having a perfect calendar - all of your stamps
2. Having a 1 1/2 inch binder just for Spanish and 8 tabs and a ziploc to put your pesos in.
